day 55

evan and i got up to an empty youth room but knew that it was sunday and church was going to be starting soon so we packed up our things and made our way out. we hit up a dairy shop which served breakfast and we got some food there. we were heading to falls of rough today and it was a hot day out. the only thing that really stood out was a massive factory of some sort out in the distance of all this agriculture but the whole day was pretty hilly and through corn fields. the billows of smoke reminded me of all the eco and food documentaries. it was a pretty typical day and nothing really happened. we got to falls of rough but didn't want to go to the state park area to pay to camp so we stopped off at a church. i tried the pastor's house but no one was home and there wasn't any numbers to call so we just chilled out and hit up the gas station next door to get out of the mugginess. i got a tuna sandwich and a chocolate milk to pass the time and i chatted with a scraggly crazy guy. someone came inside and said that it was starting to rain so we hurried back and setup our tent on the backside of the church with our rainfly then tucked our bikes under a staircase and wrapped it up in our tarp. the pastor was still not home so we decided to just try and go to bed. the humidity that night was bad since it was close to raining, it actually never did rain, but with the addition of the rainfly the tent was super hot and had not airflow. it was a rough night. at the gas station that night we came across a poster of all the fish in kentucky so study up, there might be a test later :)
